The Origins of Via Raetia

Via Raetia was born in 2011, from the desire to ideally retrace the journey that prehistoric man made when climbing Valle Camonica more than thirteen thousand years ago, enriching it with numerous megalithic sanctuaries and thousands of rock engravings, recognized by UNESCO as world heritage to be protected and enhanced.
Suspended in 2020, Via Raetia returns today with a new route that touches new archaeological sites, the MUPRE - the prehistory museum - and the National Archaeological Museum of Valle Camonica, following a path immersed in nature but which does not neglect the visit of typical mountain villages.
